Diversity Data

Every year the Law firms are required by Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) ,our regulator to collect and report workforce diversity data. This data is about all our staff such as Directors, Fee earners etc.

The data collected from everyone at the firm must be reported to the SRA, broken down by role categories. These data are available to view on request.

The data includes:

  • Information about a person’s role, ownership and supervisory responsibilities within Legal@London Law Solicitors
  • Information about a person’s protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010
  • Information about socio economic factors (education) and caring responsibilities

Following the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and its implementation on 25th May 2018, maintaining the security of your data is a priority of Legal@London Law Solicitors, and we are committed to respect your privacy rights. We undertake to handle your data fairly and legally at all times. We are also dedicated to being transparent about what personal data and sensitive personal data we collect from you and how we may use such data.

This privacy notice aims to explain the types of personal data Legal@London Law Solicitors collect about you when you interact with us whether you visit our offices, when you use your mobile device or when you go online. It also aims to explain how we will process, share and keep your data.

Who are Legal@London Law Solicitors

Legal@ London Law Limited, is a company incorporated at Companies House under registration number 11213389.

We gather and process your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulation and law. This notice provides you with the necessary information regarding your rights and obligations, and explain how, why and when we collect and process your personal data.

Legal@London Law Solicitors are also registered on the information Commissioner’s Register.

Why Do We Collect Your Personal Data;

We may collect and process your personal data for a number of reasons. These include:

  • so that we may comply with legal obligation we have;. in order to comply with our duties and exercising our rights under a contract with you;
  • pursuit of our legitimate interests (as set out below);
  • where you have consented to the processing of your personal data;
  • this includes, but is not limited to, information provided by you and third party providers;
  • When you/they contact us in person, over the telephone, by email or by post;
  • when you apply for a job vacancy with us

The normal legal aim and basis for processing personal data, is that it must be necessary for the legitimate interests of Legal @ London Law Solicitors, including:

  • protecting clients, employees and other individuals and maintaining their health, safety and welfare;
  • promoting, marketing and advertising our services;
  • understanding our client’s instructions, activities, preferences and needs;
  • Improving existing services and developing;
  • complying with our legal and regulatory obligations;
  • preventing, investigating and detecting crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and prosecuting offenders, including working with the law enforcement agencies;
  • handling client contacts, queries or disputes;
  • protecting Legal@London Law Solicitors, its employees and clients, by taking appropriate legal action against third-parties who have committed criminal acts or breach of legal obligations to Legal@London Law Solicitos . fulfilling our duties to our clients, employees and Director.

The Purposes and Reasons for Processing Your Personal Data

We take your privacy very seriously and will never disclose or share your personal data without your knowledge unless we are required to do so by law.

We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purposes specified in this notice. Unless we notify you, we will not process your personal data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), as it is currently defined.

CYBER FRAUD Policy

Should you receive an email purportedly from us stating that our bank details have changed, or that you were provided with old bank details, please do not send any funds to that bank account but contact us immediately by telephone in order that we may confirm the position. We recommend that you call us before sending any funds to verify our account details.

If you have received this email in error please notify the system manager. This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named. Our  Transparency Rules

Fees for the conveyancing work

Our fees will vary due to the various factors of the transaction. Our fees range for the standard Residential transaction WITH EFFECT FROM 16.02.2021  is as follows:

RESIDENTIAL

Sale   £1400

Purchase £1400

Re-mortgage £1000.00

Transfer of Equity £900.00

These charges may vary due to various factors ,issues etc. We will always inform you the charges for any additional work which maybe required to carry out on your behalf prior to commencing  any additional work. We work fixed fee basis and we will quote you the price when we understand the details of the work.

Our fees for the standard

Commercial lease  £1500

Business sale with the lease involvement £2500.00

These charges may vary due to various factors ,issues etc. We will always inform you the charges for any additional work which maybe required to carry out on your behalf prior to work prior to commencing  any additional work. We work fixed fee basis and we will quote you the price when we understand the details of the work.

PROBATE WORK (UN-CONTESTED)

our fees is 1.5% of the Gross Estate

IMMIGRATION WORK

Our fees for standard immigration matters are mentioned in the heading “Areas of Practice” page under the respective application.

In all cases we do not charge VAT as we are not VAT registered. 

OUR COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

  1. Our aim is to provide a service with which you will be satisfied. However, we do realise that on some occasions your expectations may not be met or that you may have a query or concern or simply be dissatisfied. You are entitled to complain about the services that we provide to you. We have a written procedure for handling complaints (see below). At the end of our complaints procedure, you have the right to make a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman (PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton WV1 9WJ, telephone number: 0300 555 0333, email address: enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk, website: www.legalombudsman.org.uk).
  2. There are time limits for making a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman: you should generally make a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman no later than 12 months after the date on which you first raise your complaint with us and within six months of when you receive a final response from us. The Legal Ombudsman has indicated that both of these time limits must be met for a complaint to be accepted.
  3.  Our written complaints procedure is available from us on request.
  4. Although our written complaints procedure sets out in detail how we handle complaints, as a first step we hope that you would raise any concerns or complaints with the person(s) named in the letter which accompanies these terms and conditions. If you cannot resolve the concerns or complaints to your satisfaction or do not wish to speak to the person(s) named, please contact the specified person who has overall responsibility for your matter. If you are still dissatisfied, please contact Mrs Vishaka Peiris on 02089683260 or info@legalatlondonlaw.co.uk who will look in to your matter.
  5. If you are unhappy with or have a complaint about the amount that we have charged you, you can use the ‘assessment’ procedure’ ) in addition to our complaints procedure.
